Dean Luckenbaugh, Executive Director

Dean Luckenbaugh serves as President/Head of School of Ad Fontes Academy in Centerville, Virginia. From 2003 to 2007, Dean served as president of Veritas Classical Christian School in Richmond, Virginia. In 1998, Dean and his wife, Robin, initiated the idea of Veritas. Dean chaired the founding Steering Committee and served as Chair of the Board of Directors until his appointment as President. Dean holds a B.S.B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of Richmond. Dean previously served 13 years as an executive with the YMCA of Greater Richmond. As the Executive Director of the Classical School Foundation, Dean is responsible for CSF's strategic direction and Board Development, leadership recruitment and financial development. Dean and his wife Robin live in Leesburg, Virginia with their three children, Rachel, Joshua and Jacob.

Chris Perrin (PhD), Director of School Development

Chris serves as publisher for the Classical Academic Press and is an experienced consultant to classical Christian schools. He served as founding Headmaster at Covenant Christian Academy in Harrisburg, PA, a position he held for 10 years until 2007. He has also taught at Messiah College and Chesapeake Theological Seminary. Chris earned his B.A. in history from the University of South Carolina and went on to pursue graduate studies at Westminster Theological Seminary in California and Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia where he earned his M.Div. and PhD respectively. Chris is the author of the books An Introduction to Classical Education: A Guide for Parents, Greek for Children, and co-author of the Latin for Children series published by Classical Academic Press. As Director of School Development, Chris is responsible for CSF's approach to implementing best practices as part of the School Development Program with particular emphasis on the Model Schools Program. Chris and his wife Christine live in Camp Hill, PA with their three children Zoe, Noelle and Noah.

James Daniels, Academic Consultant

James is founder of the Intellectus Conlectio, a weeklong "immersion" training program focused on nurturing discernment in teachers about the Christian Classical model of education. He now leads CSF’s Mission to the Classroom program initiative. He has served as consultant to various schools and speaks at national conferences sponsored by the Association of Classical Christian Schools, the Society of Classical Learning, and the CiRCE Institute. Previously, James served at Westminster Academy in Memphis, TN for 11 years (three years of which were in capacity as head of the Upper School). In addition to his responsibilities to research, design, and implement a Classical and Christian pedagogy in this K-12, 364 student school, he taught Theology, Rhetoric, Logic, History, and Philosophy. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies from Central Baptist College and a Master's Degree in Religious Education from Mid-America Theological Seminary. James and his wife Larissa live in Slayden, Mississippi and have one daughter, Alexandria.

Gary Ruzich, Director of Finance & Operations

Gary brings more than 30 years of finance and business experience in the high-tech, marketing, and construction sectors to the exciting mission of the Classical School Foundation. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Veritas Classical Christian School in Richmond, Virginia, for over four years. As Director of Finance & Operations, Gary is responsible for all strategic financial planning as well as operational implementation of CSF's initiatives. He and his wife Mari live in Richmond, Virginia and have three children Ian, Shea and Trevor.
