Dean Luckenbaugh serves as President/Head of School of Ad Fontes Academy in Centerville, Virginia. From 2003 to 2007, Dean served as president of Veritas Classical Christian School in Richmond, Virginia. In 1998, Dean and his wife, Robin, initiated the idea of Veritas. Dean chaired the founding Steering Committee and served as Chair of the Board of Directors until his appointment as President. Dean holds a B.S.B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of Richmond. Dean previously served 13 years as an executive with the YMCA of Greater Richmond. As the Executive Director of the Institute for Classical Schools, Dean is responsible for strategic direction and Board Development, leadership recruitment and financial development. Dean and his wife Robin live in Leesburg, Virginia with their three children, Rachel, Joshua and Jacob.
Chris serves as publisher for the Classical Academic Press and is an experienced consultant to classical Christian schools. He served as founding Headmaster at Covenant Christian Academy in Harrisburg, PA, a position he held for 10 years until 2007. He has also taught at Messiah College and Chesapeake Theological Seminary. Chris earned his B.A. in history from the University of South Carolina and went on to pursue graduate studies at Westminster Theological Seminary in California and Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia where he earned his M.Div. and PhD respectively. Chris is the author of the books An Introduction to Classical Education: A Guide for Parents, Greek for Children, and co-author of the Latin for Children series published by Classical Academic Press. As Resource Center Director, Chris is responsible for coordinating development and implementation of an comprehensive and interactive on-line resource to benefit school leaders and teachers. This includes creative methods to bring national expertise to local schools. Chris and his wife Christine live in Camp Hill, PA with their three children Zoe, Noelle and Noah.

Keith Nix is new Head of School at Veritas Classical Christian School in Richmond, Virginia. He served as the Head of School at The Westminster School at Oak Mountain of Birmingham, Alabama, a K-12 Christian classical school. He and his family have been heavily involved in the school for the past eight years, leaving the board in 2004 to become the Head of School. Keith serves on various advisory boards and committees in the fields of education, business, and ministry. Prior to Westminster, Keith was the President of Nixgroup, a consulting firm that focused on leadership development, executive mentoring, and strategic planning. Before that, he worked with Campus Outreach Birmingham for ten years, serving as the Executive Director from 1996-1999. Keith has also traveled and worked in various mission and business capacities around the world. As Leadership Academy Director, Keith is responsible for coordinating development and implementation of programs and services to connect and equip school leaders to lead schools of unparalleled excellence. This includes creative methods to bring national expertise to local schools. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Keith attended Jacksonville State University on a tennis scholarship where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. He currently is transitioning to Richmond with his wife, Kim, and three children, Kendall, Koleman, and Anna-Katherine.
James is founder of the Intellectus Conlectio, a weeklong "immersion" training program focused on nurturing discernment in teachers about the Christian Classical model of education. He now leads ICS’s Mission to the Classroom program initiative. He has served as consultant to various schools and speaks at national conferences sponsored by the Association of Classical Christian Schools, the Society of Classical Learning, and the CiRCE Institute. Previously, James served at Westminster Academy in Memphis, TN for 11 years (three years of which were in capacity as head of the Upper School). In addition to his responsibilities to research, design, and implement a Classical and Christian pedagogy in this K-12, 364 student school, he taught Theology, Rhetoric, Logic, History, and Philosophy. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies from Central Baptist College and a Master's Degree in Religious Education from Mid-America Theological Seminary. James and his wife Larissa live in Slayden, Mississippi and have one daughter, Alexandria.
Gary brings more than 30 years of finance and business experience in the high-tech, marketing, and construction sectors to the exciting mission of the Institute for Classical Schools. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Veritas Classical Christian School in Richmond, Virginia, for over five years. As Director of Finance & Operations, Gary is responsible for all strategic financial planning as well as operational implementation of ICS's initiatives. He and his wife Mari live in Richmond, Virginia and have three children Ian, Shea and Trevor.

In this capacity, she is responsible for providing corporate and association clients with strategic communications counsel on business transformation, corporate social responsibility, government affairs, reputation management and internal communications. She leads the national Hill & Knowlton team that provides strategic counsel and public relations implementation on all Corporate Affairs activities, which includes the tech giant's global citizenship program, ethics, environmental programs, government affairs and philanthropy and education initiatives.
Active in civic affairs in Alexandria and Northern Virginia, Lindsay is Immediate Past Chairman of The Campagna Center Board of Directors and serves on Wesley Theological Seminary's President's Advisory Council, and was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation and Culture. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Kansas and a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Northwestern University. Lindsay resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
Mr. King has over 20 years of senior-level organizational management experience directing strategy-led, national organizations in public-issue communications, public-private partnerships, government relations, and brand strategy for organizational growth. His experience and skills include developing strategic plans and moving major issues though channels including media, government, academia, industry, and public forums.
He headed HHS External Affairs and served as international trade adviser to US Dept. of Commerce during the Bush administration. He was communications director for the NASDAQ Stock Market, director for the NASDAQ Educational Foundation and PR director for FINRA during the Clinton administration. He was Vice President at the Aluminum Association over Government Affairs, Programs and Communications. He has managed large staffs over 200 employees and budgets of over $200 million.
He serves on the board of the C.S. Lewis Institute, and is Teaching Director for the DC Community Bible Study. He has served as board member and President of the Fourth Presbyterian School in Potomac, Maryland. He holds BA Communications from Sam Houston State, Texas, and is a CAE of the American Society of Association Executives. He and wife Carol have two children and live in Bethesda, Maryland.
Chairman and CEO, National Alabama Corporation
Mr. Stein is currently Chairman and CEO of National Alabama Corporation, a railcar manufacturer located in northwest Alabama. He is also a founding principal of Fidelis Capital, an SEC registered investment advisor based in Birmingham. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Stein co-founded and was Co-Managing Partner of Petra Capital LLC, a private subordinated debt fund based in Nashville providing growth capital to small businesses. At Petra, Mr. Stein’s responsibilities included managing day-to-day operations of the firm, marketing, originating new loans, performing due diligence, and overseeing portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Stein has previously served for 11 years in various roles in investment and corporate finance.
Mr. Stein is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Raycom Media, a broadcast company that owns and/or operates 46 television stations in 36 markets and 18 states. He is also a Board member of Wise Metals Group, the world's third-leading producer of aluminum can stock for the beverage and food industries as well as the Chairman of IntraMicron, Inc., a company formed to commercialize the technology of a chemical engineering professor at Auburn University.
Since 2003, Mr. Stein has served on the Board at Westminster School at Oak Mountain, a classical Christian school in Birmingham, Alabama. He has a passionate commitment to classical Christian education and has chaired various school committees. He has been married to Kristi for 20 years and has two sons, Jack (13, 7th grade) and Nathan (12, 5th grade), who have attended Westminster since Kindergarten.
Mr. Stein received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, an MBA from Auburn University at Montgomery, and a BS in Business Administration from Auburn University. Mr. Stein is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Director of Employee and Organizational Development, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems
In this capacity for 10 years, she focuses on new program development and administration with special emphasis on leadership development programs, innovative delivery methods and employee communications. She has 23 years in public higher education administration in Massachusetts, focusing on non-credit course and seminar development, executive administration and student support.
She has more than 30 years of following Jesus Christ, serving the body in Christian education, youth leadership, girls programming, music ministry and mentoring teenagers. She has been married to Christopher for 29 years with two adult children. She holds a B.A. in English from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
President, Excelsis
Dr. Whitlock joined the faculty of Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS) in 1975 and, at the age of 37, was appointed president, a position he held for 23 years. Under his leadership, RTS grew from a small regional school to one of the most innovative as well as one of the ten largest seminaries in North America with multiple campuses in the US as well as gateway extension programs in Asia, South America, and Europe.
He has served on many Boards to further theological education, to expand church planting efforts, and to bring mutual understanding and cooperation within the worldwide evangelical community. He was also co-founder and co-president of the International Reformed Fellowship then later assumed a major role in the establishment of the World Reformed Fellowship, also serving as convener for the initial global gathering. He participated in founding the Foundation for Reformation, now Excelsis. He also helped establish the Greater Orlando Leadership Foundation, a highly successful model for training emerging leaders in a city.
Dr. Whitlock served as the executive director of Trinity Forum from 2003 to early 2008. He is well known for his role as executive director of The New Geneva Study Bible and a major revision, published as The Spirit of the Reformation Study Bible. He is the author of The Spiritual Quest and has contributed to more than ten other volumes and over fifteen different periodicals.
Dr. Whitlock is a graduate of the University of Florida, Westminster Theological Seminary, and Vanderbilt University. He and his wife, Mary Lou, have three grown children and eleven grandchildren.
